Most of the work is not brewing.

In a small brewery, more time goes into stock, records and invoices than into the tanks. BrauMo covers all of it in one place, so the same information is entered once and used everywhere.

Frequently asked questions

What do I need to run BrauMo?
A Mac or Windows computer on your brewery's network. BrauMo installs like a normal app and serves every phone, tablet and laptop on it. Apple Silicon Macs and 64-bit Windows 10 or 11 are ready to run, with nothing else to install. See the full system requirements.
Where is my data stored, and can I get it back out?
On your own machine, in a single local database file. Your records reach us or a cloud only if you share them, for example by turning on Mo or booking a migration. Day to day BrauMo works offline. Everything exports, and the database file is yours to copy.
What if the brewery computer breaks down or is stolen?
BrauMo backs up its database by itself every day and keeps 14 copies, on the same computer until you choose a second place in Settings: another drive, a USB stick, or a folder that iCloud Drive, Dropbox, Google Drive or OneDrive syncs (that service then holds a copy). Each copy is checked as it is written, and the dashboard tells you while no second place is set. On a new computer, install BrauMo and restore the latest copy in Settings. With a second place set, you lose at most a day of entries.
Can I import my spreadsheets, or can you move them for me?
Both. BrauMo imports CSV and Excel: you match the columns and check a preview before anything saves. With your own Anthropic API key, Mo can also turn old files into batches, stock and recipes for you to confirm. Or we do it as a paid one-off: you send the files, approve the mapping we propose, and receive a ready BrauMo database with a report that accounts for every row. We move records and never assess them. Not transferred: invoices and open receivables, stock lots, recipe ingredients and the link from a flavoured batch to its base. Your files are deleted 30 days after delivery. See the migration service.
How does the free trial work? Do I need a card?
No card, ever. You start the trial at Polar's checkout with your email and the business tick, download BrauMo for Mac or Windows, and the 21 days begin the first time you open it, with every feature included and nothing to cancel. Your trial data lives in one database file on your own machine, and a licence unlocks that same file, so nothing is entered twice.
How do I buy a licence?
In Pricing, choose yearly or monthly and your region, then press Buy now. Polar takes the payment and emails you a licence key. Paste it on BrauMo's Licence page, which the trial banner links to. If you tried BrauMo first, or your trial has ended, everything you entered stays, and there is nothing to reinstall.
What happens after the trial, or if I cancel?
BrauMo switches to read-only: everything stays viewable and exportable, including your HACCP records, and nothing is deleted. A trial that ends charges nothing, and editing resumes the moment you enter a licence key.
Is BrauMo a kombucha app or brewery software?
Both, built for commercial kombucha rather than adapted from a beer tool. BrauMo installs as a normal app on your own computer, so you get full brewery software (batches, HACCP records, inventory, invoicing) without a cloud subscription. Living cultures, two-stage fermentation, carbonation and HACCP that follows the KBI code of practice are built in. Search for a kombucha app and you mostly find home-brewing timers; search for brewery software and you find tools with no word for a SCOBY.
How is BrauMo different from cloud brewery software?
Cloud tools keep your data on their servers, and some charge by user or by volume. BrauMo runs on your own machine, offline, at one flat price. See the full comparison.
Does BrauMo make me HACCP compliant?
BrauMo keeps your records audit-ready: acidification and alcohol as control points, following the code of practice of Kombucha Brewers International (KBI), with calibration, CAPA and recalls documented. BrauMo is independent of KBI and not endorsed by it. It advises and records, and it never locks you out of an action. Compliance itself always remains your call and your auditor's. Is there a mobile app, and can someone use BrauMo from home?
Yes. A free app for iPhone, iPad and Android connects to your own BrauMo server over the brewery WiFi (and from version 1.1 over a private network), with no cloud in between, and adds a barcode scanner. Other devices open BrauMo in their browser. See the app. For someone at home, install a private-network app such as NetBird or Tailscale on the brewery computer and on theirs, then they open the address BrauMo shows under Settings › Team and data, with their own login. The connection is encrypted between your devices. Either way BrauMo runs on the brewery computer, which has to stay on and awake. Do not open a port on your router for it. See how it works.
I bought BrauMo. Where do I download it?
In your customer portal, which also holds your licence key and your invoices. You get in with the email you bought with, so a lost welcome email is not a problem. Open the customer portal page.
